Samantha Reeve,BS-Dietetics
Eating Disorder Recovery & Life Skills Coach
More About Samantha
Hi I am Sam, welcome to Recovery Newport Beach! I am a Recovery Coach and aspiring therapist who has been working with women struggling with eating disorders in various settings for the past 8 years. It was through this experience that I absolutely fell in love with this work and the powerful transformations that recovery from an eating disorder can bring into someone’s life. Through empathetic and human-first relationships with clients, I strive to help my clients feel seen, heard, accepted and understood on their pathway toward healing. I love the connections I make with my clients and their families and truly find joy and warmth in the healing we do daily.
My goal is to serve each individual client with clinical expertise, trauma-informed care, empathy, and kindness as I understand the difficulty of going through the recovery process. I incorporate gender-affirming care, cultural humility, dialectical behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and my extensive experience in the field of eating disorders and mental health to individualize the care my clients receive. I meet each individual where they are and hold hope for all my clients to fully recover and find self-love, compassion, forgiveness, and healing.
A little about my education and background, I hold a B.S. in Dietetics and am currently working towards my master’s in social work specializing in clinical practice with individuals and families. I have previously worked with adults, teens, families, children, and individuals experiencing homelessness which were all experiences that shape the person and clinician I am. I am passionate about spreading awareness around eating disorders and related co-morbidities to dispel myths and invite a deeper societal understanding and cultural shifts and I am excited for the opportunity to support you and your family.
In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, being on the beach, listening to podcasts during long walks, and spending time with my Labrador Charlie. I love spending time with my family and friends, travelling to new places and exploring the many treasures of beautiful Southern CA.
I am currently providing recovery and life-skills services in-person for our Southern CA clients and via telehealth to clients across CA, the US and internationally.
