Eating Disorder Recovery & Trauma Therapist

More About Samantha

Hi I am Stacey, welcome to Recover Newport Beach! I am an Eating Disorder and Trauma Therapist, specializing in helping women who’s fertility and pregnancy have been affected by their eating disorder and/or their body size. As someone who experienced body discrimination before and during my own fertility journey, I am passionate about helping women find their voice and advocate for themselves during their fertility and pregnancy journey. I am well versed in multicultural counseling and have experience working with women of different ages, cultures, religious beliefs, and backgrounds. As a trauma-informed specialist, I help my Clients understand how trauma is holding them back from their life and support them as they start to reconnect and embrace their truth. I have a deep understanding of the demands you and your body have and my goal is to help you feel safe, heard, and not alone. My approach in sessions is to offer warmth, empathy, humor, understanding and compassion to create a space that fosters whole-person healing.. I believe in a holistic approach to healing from eating disorders and trauma and include elements of mindfulness, somatic bodywork, breath work and grounding practices in my work with clients.

My professional background is diverse as I hold an MBA and have extensive experience working in various corporate roles. I graduated from Phillips Graduate Institute with an MA in Psychology and feel immense gratitude to be able to do the meaningful work I do today. I am trained in Somatic Experiencing, Perinatal Mood Disorders, Advanced Psychotherapy for Postpartum women, Gottman Couples Method and Intensive Grief and Sudden Loss. I am also trained in Reiki 1 and 2 and mindfulness practices.

Aside from my clinical work, I am a wife and a mom to one amazing young lady. I enjoy spending time with my family and my close friends, traveling and having new experiences and being able to let loose and have fun doing whatever! I am super excited to work with you and help you achieve a full, recovered life.

I am currently providing therapy in-person and via telehealth for our Southern CA clients and via telehealth to clients across the rest of CA.
